Event rental FAQ
Good events start with clear expectations.
These are the questions customers ask most often when they are building a rental list and working through the event plan.
How does the rental quote process work?
Browse the live catalog, add the items you are considering to your Rentals list, and submit the request with your event information. Our team reviews the list, checks the event details and logistics, and follows up with a quote rather than treating the website submission as an automatic booking.
Does submitting my rental list reserve the equipment?
No. A submitted list starts the quote and planning process. Availability, quantities, timing, delivery or will-call details, and any setup requirements still need to be confirmed by our team before the order is final.
Can you help me figure out quantities, tent size, or what I am missing?
Yes. That is an important part of how we work. Share the event date, venue, guest count, and what you already know, and we can help work through equipment choices and practical setup considerations.
Do you offer delivery and setup?
Yes. Delivery, setup, pickup, venue access, labor, and timing are planned as part of the quote when they apply to your event. Because those details vary from one site to another, we do not automatically promise a delivery plan through online checkout.
Can I pick up rental items myself?
Many orders can be handled as will-call pickup. The quote will confirm whether the equipment is appropriate for customer pickup, the pickup and return timing, and any handling details you need to know.
How far in advance should I reserve rentals?
Earlier is better for popular dates and larger events, but availability changes constantly. Send the request as soon as you know your date, and contact us even if the event is close—we will tell you what is realistically available.
How many rental days do you charge for a weekend?
Most equipment is priced by the day. Our standard Friday pickup or delivery through Monday return or collection is charged as ONE daily equipment rental rate, not three or four. Use your real event dates when requesting a quote; we confirm the handover and return dates separately. Delivery/collection, optional services, and applicable taxes or fees are additional where appropriate. Unusual or extended schedules are reviewed by our team.
Are the prices shown in the catalog my final total?
We publish standard equipment and package rates to help you budget. For most equipment, the daily rate also covers our standard Friday-to-Monday weekend. Your equipment subtotal is not necessarily the full event total: required delivery/collection, optional services and applicable taxes or fees are confirmed in your quote. Required installation and removal are included in the rental price of equipment that must be installed by our crew.
What happens if my event details change?
Contact us as soon as possible. Venue access, guest count, weather plans, timing, and equipment changes can affect the order, and we would rather work through those changes with you than leave them for event day.
What is your cancellation policy?
For standard cancellations, total liability is 50% more than 6 days before the event, 62.5% more than 24 hours and up to 6 days before the event, and 100% at 24 hours or less. All deposits and payments count toward that total; these percentages are not additional fees. The same tiers apply to removed standard items. Tents canceled inside 14 days owe 100% of the tent rental value; disclosed custom orders are non-refundable once committed. Safety cancellations by CRE follow the separate relief provision in the complete agreement. This is the new-agreement release candidate; activation is pending. Existing signed agreements keep their terms. Read the complete rental agreement or ask our team about your order.
Will you set up my rental items?
For larger items such as tents, staging, and specialty equipment, our team provides setup and takedown. Standard delivery of smaller items such as tables, chairs, and linens is drop-off unless setup is arranged in advance. Additional setup service may carry an additional charge.
Is event insurance available, and what happens if equipment is damaged?
Our internal damage waiver is retired for new agreements using this policy version. Optional third-party event insurance may be offered through Goodshuffle. Event liability insurance does not automatically insure rented equipment: equipment coverage requires an additional optional premium and has eligibility rules, limits, deductibles and exclusions. Tents are currently excluded by the provider. Do not assume stages, dance floors, crew handling or the entire Friday–Monday rental period are covered. Read the actual policy and confirm equipment and dates with the provider. Buying or declining insurance does not remove your rental obligations.
How is delivery priced?
One combined flat-plus-mileage service charge covers delivery and collection and is itemized on your quote. Returning delivered equipment yourself does not reduce it. Optional chair/table setup or breakdown and special access or timing may cost extra. Required installation/removal for crew-required equipment is included in that equipment's rental rate. Eligible will-call pickup has no separate service fee and is available Monday–Friday, 9 AM–4 PM at confirmed times.
What are your office hours?
Our office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, and is closed Saturday and Sunday. Weekend-event delivery and pickup timing is coordinated with the quote and event plan.
Can I share photos from my event with Creative Event Rentals?
Yes. Our Event Gallery includes a Share Your Event option. Customer photos are reviewed before publication, and we record permission from the person submitting them before using the images on our website or marketing channels.
Can I leave a Google review too?
Absolutely. Reviews and gallery photos serve different purposes, and both help a local business. A review tells future customers about your experience; approved gallery photos help them visualize what an event can look like.
Do you offer instant online reservations?
Not for general delivery and setup orders. Our launch experience is designed around browsing, building a list, and requesting a quote so a real person can review the event. We may add limited self-service reservations later for simple will-call items where that makes operational sense.
